Information on the optional Library Gift

The Voluntary Library Gift is a tax-deductible gift; the funds are used to support important student resources in the Gelman, Himmelfarb, and Burns libraries. A gift amount of $50 is automatically applied to student accounts each term. This applies to all students, including distance learners. As it is voluntary, it may be declined at any point during the semester.

If you choose to decline the library gift, you can do so on the Student Account eBill. Once you are logged into the eBill system, view the Current Activity, choose "Explain Library Gift" and check the box to decline. You can also download our tutorial onRemoving the Library Gift (PDF).

Please Note: This gift must be declined during the semester in which it was applied. Once the semester is over, we are unable to go back and request a library gift be removed from the student's account. We encourage all VALOR students to periodically check their account bill (even if your tuition and fees are paid by VA Benefits) in order to review your account for accuracy.
